This page explains the license options available from Algosyntax Pty Ltd<\/strong> and how to choose the right one for your project.<\/p>

The purpose of these licenses is to keep usage clear and straightforward.<\/p>

Each license gives you permission to use the purchased asset in your own projects, with the main difference being who may access and use the asset during development.<\/p>

These licenses apply to digital assets such as Unreal Engine assets, materials, shaders, tools, templates, art packs, blueprints, code samples, and other downloadable production resources, unless a specific product page says otherwise.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

There’s three license types:<\/p>

  1. Individual License<\/strong><\/li>
  2. Studio License<\/strong><\/li>
  3. Enterprise License<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>

    Each license allows the purchased asset to be used in personal or commercial projects, subject to the scope of the selected license.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

    Individual License<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    The Individual License<\/strong> is designed for one person using the asset in their own work.<\/p>

    This license is suitable for:<\/p>

    • solo developers<\/li>
    • hobbyists<\/li>
    • students<\/li>
    • freelancers working independently<\/li>
    • one-person commercial projects<\/li>
    • personal, portfolio, prototype, or learning projects<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      With an Individual License, one person may use the asset in their own projects. This includes both non-commercial and commercial projects created by the license holder.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      Example Uses<\/h3>

      An Individual License is a good fit when:<\/p>

          This license is suitable for 2 to 20 users:<\/p>

          • small development teams<\/p><\/li>

          • indie studios<\/p><\/li>

          • small companies<\/p><\/li>

          • internal team projects<\/p><\/li>

          • commercial projects with multiple contributors<\/p><\/li>

          • teams using private shared project repositories<\/p><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

            With a Studio License, the asset may be used by a team within the license limit. It is intended for projects where several people need access to the asset as part of normal development.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

            Example Uses<\/h3>

            A Studio License is a good fit when:<\/p>

            • your team has several developers or artists working on the same Unreal Engine project<\/p><\/li>

            • the asset needs to be stored in a private source control repository<\/p><\/li>

            • the asset will be used across a small internal team<\/p><\/li>

            • you are an indie studio building a commercial game<\/p><\/li>

            • you are a small company producing interactive content, visualization, or simulation work<\/p><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

              An Enterprise License may be a better fit when:<\/p>

              • more than 20 people need access to the asset<\/p><\/li>

              • your organization needs custom procurement, legal, or security terms<\/p><\/li>

              • the asset will be used across multiple departments, subsidiaries, or external teams<\/p><\/li>

              • the asset will be part of a larger shared internal asset library<\/p><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

                What All Licenses Include<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

                All license types allow you to:<\/p>

                • use the asset in personal projects<\/p><\/li>

                • use the asset in commercial projects<\/p><\/li>

                • modify the asset for use in your own project<\/p><\/li>

                • include the asset as part of a packaged, compiled, or cooked end product<\/p><\/li>

                • use the asset in games, demos, simulations, cinematics, visualizations, or interactive applications<\/p><\/li>

                • Unless stated otherwise: Lifetime Updates And Access.<\/li><\/ul>

                  For example, you may use an asset in a packaged Unreal Engine game, a rendered cinematic, an internal prototype, or a commercial client project, as long as the selected license matches the people or organization using the asset.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

                  Usage Boundaries<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

                  To keep the licensing clear for everyone, the asset itself should not be shared as a standalone resource unless Algosyntax Pty Ltd has provided written permission.<\/p>

                  This means the asset should not be:<\/p>

                  • resold by itself<\/p><\/li>

                  • uploaded to public repositories<\/p><\/li>

                  • shared with people who are not covered by the license<\/p><\/li>

                  • included in another asset pack, template, marketplace product, or downloadable resource<\/p><\/li>

                  • presented as an original asset created by someone else<\/p><\/li>

                  • made available in a way that lets others extract, copy, or reuse it as a standalone asset<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

                    The license is intended to let you use the asset in your own projects.
