As an example the timeline\/dopesheet similar tool is implemented as a sequencer track and is only available for specific tracks. If you want a tool that resembles the NLA editor, there is a sequencer track for that. They both allow you to add and manage keyframes. So we are going to look at adding and managing keyframes in Sequencer Editor in the &#8220;<strong>timeline<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fe31e35 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"fe31e35\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">How to add and manage keyframes <\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3d3342b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3d3342b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>To add and manage keyframes for an object, you must add that object to the level sequence first. We assume you have read the &#8220;<strong>adding objects to the scene<\/strong>&#8221; section in the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/store.algosyntax.com\/tutorials\/unreal-engine\/ue5-animation-system-for-blender-animators\/\">UE5 Animation System For Blender Users&#8221;<\/a> tutorial.\u00a0<br \/><br \/>Keyframing tools and functionality are only exposed to specific sequencer tracks. When you add these types of tracks you will get an interface that resembles the dopesheet and timeline allowing you to add keframes.<\/p><p><br \/>Below we list a few of the more common sequencer tracks that allow you to add keyframes:<\/p><ol><li><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.unrealengine.com\/4.27\/en-US\/AnimatingObjects\/Sequencer\/Overview\/Tracks\/PropertyTracks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>The Transform Track.<\/strong><\/a> <br \/>Adds Keyframes for Rotation,Location and Scale.<\/li><li><strong>Material Parameter Track.<\/strong> <br \/>Adds keyframes for animating materials<\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.unrealengine.com\/5.0\/en-US\/fk-control-rig-in-unreal-engine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FK Control Rig Track.<\/a><br \/><\/strong>Allows you to add keyframes for bones of an <strong>armature\/skeletalmesh.<\/strong> You<strong> DO NOT<\/strong> need to create a control rig for this.<\/li><\/ol><p>A more complete list of Sequencer tracks can be found on <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.unrealengine.com\/4.27\/en-US\/AnimatingObjects\/Sequencer\/Overview\/Tracks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this link.\u00a0<\/a> This includes tracks that do not support adding keyframes. In Unreal Engine, the graph editor is called the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.unrealengine.com\/5.0\/en-US\/animation-curve-editor-in-unreal-engine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Curve Editor<\/a> and it is part of the Sequencer Editor.\u00a0<br \/>Just like in Blender, Sequencer&#8217;s Curve Editor will show curves for the selected track inside Sequencer. It has some of Blender&#8217;s Action Editor features but it lacks proper keyframing ability like the Action Editor.
